This is easy to do with a Facebook live stream plugin for WordPress, and it only takes a few steps.
A plugin lets you add Facebook live streams to your WordPress site. We’ll show you how to do this step by step in this guide.
Adding your Facebook Live Stream to your WordPress website
A lot of WordPress plugins let you stream live video. However, you need to choose the plugin that enables you to share your video with more people and has the best streaming speed for your video.
We think Smash Balloon is the best WordPress plugin for showing social media feeds.
Smash Balloon lets you put your social media feed, images, videos, and albums anywhere on your site without having to know how to write code.
It has a lot of options that let you change how your social feed looks on your website. If your website has a certain look or color, you can change the font, color, and style to match.
Using Smash Balloon, you can show content from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube on your WordPress site. It comes with five different plugins that do this.
The plugins that are included are:

- It can show a Twitter feed on your site and feeds that talk about your account. Custom Twitter Feeds do this, too.
- The social wall you show feeds, playlists, live-streamed YouTube videos, and more with feeds for YouTube:
- If you have Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube feed all in one place, you can use Social Wall.
Custom Facebook Feeds by Smash Balloon is what you’ll need to follow this guide.
Anyone can broadcast Facebook live videos on a website with this plugin. It is very simple and easy to use so that anyone can use it. Also, it is fully responsive and mobile-friendly, which means that your live streams will work well on any computer or phone.
Now, we’ll show you how to use Smash Balloon to add your Facebook live streams to your WordPress site.
Step 1: Install Custom Facebook Feed Plugin by Smash Balloon
Make a Smash Balloon account first.
The Downloads tab is where you can find your license key and the download file for your plugin after you sign up for an account with us.
To do this, you need to put the Custom Facebook Feed plugin on your site and activate it. To learn more about how to install a WordPress plugin, you can read our guide on how to do it.
As soon as the plugin is installed and activated on your site, it would help to go to the Facebook Feed » Settings » General tab on your WordPress dashboard to make changes to how the feed looks.
When you are done, click the Verify button.
You need to link up your Facebook page or group with your WordPress site as the last step.
Step 2: Connect your Facebook Page or Group to your account
On the Manage Sources option, click the + Add Source button. This will allow you to connect to your Facebook page or group.
You’ll have to choose whether your source is a page or a group in the next window. After you make your choice, click the Connect button to connect your Facebook account to the app.
In the next step, you will be sent to Facebook to log in to your account there. To make sure your account is real, you’ll have to log in to your Facebook account.
Our choice was to go with a Facebook page. We’ll use that page to stream live videos, as we did with the page option. Click the Next button to move on.
This time, you’ll be able to give Smash Balloon permission to see your Facebook page. We recommend that you leave the default settings so that the plugin works properly. You can choose which permissions you want to give. Then, click “Done.”
When you connect your account, you can choose your Facebook page as a source for your live streams.
Next, you’ll need to make a feed for your Facebook live streams to show on WordPress.
Step 3: Make a New Feed on Facebook
Go to the All Feeds tab. Then, click on the button that says “+ Add New.”
When you’re done, click the Next button.
Then, you’ll see a window that lets you choose which Facebook page your live stream videos will appear on. You can choose the page and move on to the next step.
This will open a page that lets you change how your Facebook live stream looks on your site.
This is what you can do to make it your own. On the right side, you can see a preview of your Facebook feed, as well.
To change your feed’s settings, there are three ways you can do it.
You can change the kind of Facebook feed that shows up, such as images, albums, and videos. You can also hide some of the things that show up in your feed.
- Feed Layout: You can choose from lists, grids, masonry, and carousels for your feed. You can change other settings, like how high your feed is or how many posts you have.
- Color Scheme: Choose a color scheme for your Facebook feed, like this: inherit from theme, light, dark, and custom are just some of the four options.
You can also change the settings for each part of your Facebook feeds. Header, Post, Like Box, Load More Button, and Lightbox are just some of the options that you can choose from to make your site look better.
User-friendly: Smash Balloon’s editor is simple to work with and very user-friendly. So you can go ahead and make the Facebook live stream feed look the way you want it to. There are ways to make the header of your Facebook page not show the picture on the cover of your page.
Or, you can change how your posts look. You can choose from this is the thumbnail, half-width, and full-width layouts. So you can pick a layout that fits the look you had in your head, then.
Don’t forget to click “Save” when you are done making changes to your Facebook live stream feed.
Now, you can add it to your WordPress site, so you can use it there, too.
Step 4: Embed Facebook Live Stream on Your Website
If you want to link your live stream on Facebook, you need to click on the Embed button on the top-right corner of the page.
So now, you can add your Facebook live video to your WordPress site in two different ways:
1. You can use a WordPress block or widget
If you’re using the WordPress block editor, Smash Balloon works well with it. You’ll find a ready-made block that lets you add your Facebook live stream videos in two clicks.
In this case, if you choose the “Add to a Page,” you need to choose the page where you want to add the live video too.
In this case, when you click on a link, you go to the page editor. Search for the Custom Facebook Feed block in the block editor. Then, add it to your page and share it with your friends. Only then can you put the page up or make changes to it.
When you choose the Add to a Widget option, you can add the Custom Facebook Feed Block in a block to a widget area, like a sidebar.
With Smash Balloon, you won’t have to write any code. However, if you think it would be easier to use a shortcode, there’s an option for that.
To add the Facebook live stream with a shortcode, you first need to copy the shortcode and paste it where you want to add it.
Then, go to the page where you want to show your live video. When you’re done, click the “Publish” button on your page.
It’s time to try out your live streams. As soon as you go live on Facebook, the stream will happen.
Visitors can click on the feed to watch the video live on their own Facebook page.
Today is done! You are ready to stream your Facebook live videos on your WordPress site, and you can do it now.
People say Smash Balloon is the best way to add Facebook live video to your site because it’s so easy. If you want to change the look and feel of your Facebook post, this app has a lot of options for that.
